The Noongar Land Enterprise (NLE) Group, is a not-for-profit Aboriginal-led grower group in Western Australia. The videos highlight the innovative land management practices of Noongar primary producers in the southwest region, marking a departure from conventional Western farming techniques.

The NLE Group engaged our production company to create a trio of videos that would feature different primary producers, each with their unique approach to nurturing the land

The task was to authentically capture the essence of indigenous land management practices and convey the significance of these methods to a broader audience.

Filming took place on location at Yaraguia, where we had the privilege of interviewing Oral McGuire, the head of operations. This setting provided a rich backdrop for the videos, allowing us to delve into the history of the farm, the people behind it, and their aspirations for the future.

The video series was met with acclaim, culminating in a bronze award at the Telly Awards, recognising the project’s excellence in storytelling and cultural representation.

Through this project, the NLE Group’s commitment to sustainable and culturally resonant farming practices was brought to the forefront, offering a glimpse into the potential of indigenous-led agriculture.
